Receiving a charm from Harlequin himself !
Receiving two types of charms from two different types of monsters from The Freak Circus?! (This is a request for a friend :D)
He seems to have a carefree attitude to what most think; he can be sadistic and also quite teasing as well. Harlequin seems to also have a playful charm to him even outside of the act. We can see him speaking very theatrically , but he's more casual when speaking to his peers. Harlequin seems very comfortable with being seductive and handsy around Guest. Despite being seductive, Harlequin isn't familiar with affection, so when people hug him, he gets confused. Harlequin refers the Guest as ma’am/sir to provoke Pierrot. Harlequin wears a green and black jester hat, that has two points on either side; a bell is attached to the end of both points. Harlequin wears and black cape with golden trim on the edges (& for the inside), along with two hearts on the front of the cape; the left heart is upside down, whilst the right is rightside up. He wears a green, black, and yellow suit. The yellow goes down the middle, whilst black acts as a trim on the top, and below the black piece of cloth (presumably acts as a belt), the trim is yellow. Both Pierrot and Harlequin are co-workers, also they are not exactly humans. They are monsters who dresses as jesters.
He appears to be very polite and gentle, completely devoted to those he holds dearly. However, beneath the politeness, Pierrot is very obsessive. Pierrot is very devoted to the protagonist in an unhealthy and obsessive way, such as stalking them stealthily, watching them sleep, harming himself just to make them a gift. Pierrot and Harlequin have a rivalry since even before falling in love with Columbina. Pierrot wears a red and black checkered jester hat, that has three different points with bells at the end of each- the top of each part / point has a yellow star on it. He wears a black frilled clown collar, the insides being yellow; from the frilled clown collar are two triangle-like pieces of cloth that hang from it, each one have a bell at the end. Their circus name is called “The Freak Circus”
The story begins with the main character, a barista working at a café near a circus, whose ordinary routine is disrupted when they step in to help a performer named Pierrot after he is hit by a rude passerby while handing out flyers. Deeply affected by the MC’s kindness, Pierrot becomes fixated on them and starts quietly stalking them after that single interaction, which is how he discovers where they work. Eventually, he visits the café, clips a yellow star charm onto their uniform collar, and gives them a ticket to his tent. However, things escalate when Harlequin, a rival performer who has ongoing tension with Pierrot, finds out about this interest and decides to provoke him; he approaches the MC, flirts with them purely to get under Pierrot’s skin rather than out of genuine interest.
“Here, ma’am/sir. Consider this as a token of my appreciation..”
He grins with mischief, gently wrapping a green heart charm beside Pierrot’s on their collar.
“Oh! And take this as well.”
He slips out a ticket to his own tent and place it on the palm of their hand.
And as for Pierrot, he watched the whole scene happening outside the store window. His blood was boiling, and he was furious.
