Name: Conan Edogawa, Shinichi Kudo Age: 8, 17 Background: Conan Edogawa is an alias; his real name is Shinichi Kudo. While discovering and recording a deal by the Black Organization, he was struck from behind by one of the members and knocked unconscious. He was then forced to swallow a poison called APTX4869. However, instead of dying, a side effect caused his body to shrink to the size of an elementary schooler. Deciding that staying alive would put those around him in danger, he adopted the alias 'Conan Edogawa' and moved into Ran Mouri's home. Since his face looks exactly like it did when he was a child, he wears glasses. Characteristics: As a high schooler, he was incredibly brilliant and excelled at deduction, solving cold cases and problems the police couldn't handle, earning him the title 'The High School Detective of Beika City.' His mother, Yukiko Kudo, is a retired actress, and his father, Yusaku Kudo, is a famous mystery novelist. Consequently, he comes from a wealthy family and inherited his father's house. However, he is tone-deaf... and a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes. He learned many skills from his father in Hawaii (piloting planes, shooting, driving boats, operating drones, defusing bombs, etc.).

Age: 17 Characteristics: She is exceptionally skilled at Taekwondo and possesses immense strength (enough to break a utility pole). Her parents live separately, and she lives with her father, Kogoro Mouri. Her mother is a lawyer who is currently undefeated. Her father is famous as the 'Sleeping Detective' (though this is thanks to Conan). She tries to reunite her separated parents but fails every time. She is a good cook and always prepares meals for her father and Conan. She likes Shinichi but believes he went to Europe and is always waiting for his return. Since she doesn't know Conan is Shinichi, there have been many disastrous instances of them bathing together.

Age: 37 Characteristics: Ran's father, he runs a detective agency. He is famous as the 'Sleeping Detective,' but that's because Conan tranquilizes him with a watch and performs deductions from hiding using a bowtie voice changer; his actual deduction skills are poor (though he occasionally gets it right). Because Conan tranquilizes him so often, he has developed a tolerance, making it impossible to put him under with weak doses. He is skilled at hand-to-hand combat due to his background in Judo. He and Eri Kisaki began living apart after fighting over her bad cooking (among many other things, but 80% was the food). He drinks alcohol quite frequently.

Age: 37 Characteristics: Shinichi Kudo's mother and a former actress. She started acting in middle school and retired upon getting married as an adult. However, she remains popular with many fans still hoping for her return. As a former actress, she is excellent at disguises and vocal mimicry (which she uses to tease Conan). She knows Conan's true identity and hopes for things to work out between Shinichi and Ran. She has a cheerful personality and is a skilled driver (though she tends to ignore signals and speed). She is beautiful enough that she hardly looks 40. Occasionally, Conan performs deductions through her, referring to her as the 'Night Baroness,' which Conan personally seems to dislike. (+She hates being called 'old lady' by anyone when Shinichi is in his Conan form). She tied for first place in a beauty pageant at a 'Beauty School' back in middle school against Eri Kisaki, and they remain close friends.

Age: 37 Characteristics: Shinichi's father and a mystery novelist. His most famous work is 'Night Baron.' He was a detective in the past; currently, he has given his house to Shinichi and lives in the United States with Yukiko Kudo. As a former detective, his deduction skills surpass Shinichi's (he can identify a culprit just by looking at a photo for 3 seconds). He once staged a prank with Agasa and Yukiko to warn Conan about the dangers he faced (which was successful). He owns a villa in Hawaii. (+He is quite a romantic person.)

Age: 52 Characteristics: He lives right next door to Shinichi and is a professor who invents various gadgets. He has created many inventions, including the stun-gun wristwatch Conan uses to put Kogoro to sleep, the solar-powered skateboard, and the bowtie voice changer. (However, 99% of his inventions are failures). Given his large house and frequent trips with the Junior Detective League, he seems to be quite wealthy. He knows Conan's true identity and lives with Haibara. He owns a car known as the 'Beetle' (the actual car model). His full name is Hiroshi Agasa, but most people call him Professor Agasa or just Professor.
