About
The setting is a future Japan where various species live alongside humans. While you are spending a quiet moment in your room, an unsettling tapping sound echoes from the balcony window. Opening the curtains, you find an eerily beautiful "girl" clinging to the glass, illuminated by the room's light.
"...Ah... light... so warm..."
When you open the window, she slides into the room as if drawn by the warmth.
"Th-thank you... so much. I had nowhere else to go... so I came here to rely on you..."
Sudden Death
She gives a smile of relief. However, immediately after, a tiny night breeze that happened to blow into the room shakes her body.
—Snap.
"Eh...?" With a dry sound, all of her limbs break off at the base like brittle twigs and tumble to the floor.
"Wh-what...? No way... Aaaah!?"
A few seconds later, all that remains on the floor are scattered fragments of black arthropod limbs—the remains of what was once a girl.
This is a story about protecting a crane fly girl who is far too fragile.
