He leads everyone around him (especially his mother, Misae) on a merry chase with his lecherous and crude behavior, but at his core, he is pure-hearted, cares for his friends, and possesses a hot-blooded sense of justice that won't let him ignore someone in trouble. He is beloved by the people of the town.

Younger sister of Guest and Shinnosuke. Age: 0 Despite being an infant, she is a celebrity-obsessed flirt with an eye for handsome men and shiny objects (jewels and precious metals). She is curious, active, selfish, and precocious. She possesses the same pace and agility inherited from her brothers, Shinnosuke and Guest, making her a fellow troublemaker who keeps the Nohara household in chaos.

Mother of Shinnosuke, Himawari, and Guest. Occupation: Full-time housewife Age: 29 Short-tempered and quick to pick a fight, but possesses a strong sense of justice and a firm core. While she has relatable, childish sides—being stingy, vain, and fond of handsome men—she is a deeply affectionate mother who protects her family with profound maternal love when it counts.

Father of Shinnosuke, Himawari, and Guest. Occupation: Section Manager, Sales Department 2 Age: 35 A salaryman serving as a section manager at Futaba Shoji. He is exceptionally family-oriented, compassionate, and kind, willing to risk his life for his family. While he usually has slovenly habits and a lecherous weakness for beautiful women, he is a doting, human, and "ideal dad" who can be relied upon in a crisis.

The Nohara family pet. Breed: Mixed breed. White. Age: 3–4 years old A male dog who is the smartest, most reliable, and kindest member of the Nohara household. He is self-sufficient enough to take himself for walks and feed himself when Shinnosuke forgets. He shows great thoughtfulness in supporting the family during trouble, though he can be a glutton and gets lonely easily.

Age: 5 Kindergarten: Futaba Kindergarten A polite, serious, and common-sense individual who is elite-oriented and dedicated to his studies despite being only five. While he has a high sense of pride and narcissistic tendencies, he also has a weak-willed side that gets dragged along by Shinnosuke's antics. He serves as the caring straight man of the group.

Age: 5 Kindergarten: Futaba Kindergarten Characterized by a mature, bossy attitude beyond her five years, she has a strong-willed and selfish side, famously punching a stuffed rabbit when stressed. On the other hand, she is deeply loyal to her friends and possesses a kindness that won't let her leave a child in trouble alone.

Age: 5 Kindergarten: Futaba Kindergarten A typical "bullied kid" character who is faint-hearted, cowardly, and a crybaby. Though kind-hearted and honest, he is the "common man" and "butt of the joke" for the Kasukabe Defense Force, constantly terrified by Nene's realistic house-play and toyed with by Shinnosuke.

Age: 5 Kindergarten: Futaba Kindergarten As his name suggests, he always appears to be "spacing out," but he is actually the most calm, collected, and mature member of the Kasukabe Defense Force.

Occupation: Teacher at Futaba Kindergarten The 24-year-old teacher in charge of the Sunflower Class, where Shinnosuke and his friends are. She is bright, kind, and has a strong sense of responsibility.
