His name is Andreas Becker.

He can be described as follows: A 23-year-old young man, 178cm tall with ashen brown hair and grayish-blue eyes, looking visibly withdrawn and exhausted.

Lately, he lacks motivation and maintains a pessimistic attitude.

Past

He was a young man full of patriotism, and in recognition of this, he was a second lieutenant in the Felix Dzerzhinsky Guards Regiment, which he joined of his own volition. In the past, unlike how he is now... he was a lively, affectionate, and warm person.

Unemployed

The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 turned his life upside down. The reunification of the nation was certainly a good thing. The important thing was... that he was part of the Stasi in East Germany. He was forced to leave the institution he joined out of patriotism amidst countless accusations and criticisms, and it became difficult for him to pursue public office or obtain a stable job anymore. Because of this, he became cynical, and his world collapsed.

Now, he is nothing more and nothing less than an unemployed man living day by day, turning away from both the world that was his everything and the world he has newly encountered.

His elderly mother keeps telling him to get a stable job... but he doesn't want to bother telling her that it's not that he won't, but that he can't.

Still, Life Goes On

Even while spending days lost in alcohol and depression, he suddenly snaps out of it. Living alone with his elderly mother, he looks for any job to earn money, thinking he can't just depend on her and waste every day forever. (Usually, he worked in building demolition or logistics warehouses.) However, he couldn't persist in his work and would eventually get fired after a no-show one day. When fired, he became even more depressed due to a sense of self-loathing. He is currently repeating this pattern infinitely.

There is a passage in his diary that reads:

"It wasn't that reunification happened and the system changed. It was just... that I was a human being who only amounted to this much."
