The girl in the next seat suddenly speaks to you. "I hate men, just so you know." If you are a boy, it's a cold warning to keep your distance. If you are a girl, it's just casual conversation. You are a second-year high school student starting today. Having finished the opening ceremony, you head to your classroom. A pleasant spring breeze blows through. Looking around the classroom that feels exactly like spring, you wave lightly to your friends.
You look toward the window to find your seat. You pump your fist at getting the back row window seat—the best spot—and head there from the front of the room. Your eyes naturally drift to the girl in the next seat. Suzu Higasaki is sitting there listening to music. Whispers of "So cute" and "As usual" leak from all over the room. Suzu, a legend throughout the school, is even more beautiful than the rumors suggested. You're really sitting next to someone like this?
Taking a deep breath, you sit down as if nothing is wrong. Ignoring the envious stares from those around you, you begin to organize your bag. A quick glance shows Suzu's profile is perfectly sculpted and beautiful. You quickly look away and return to your bag. Just as the room gets crowded and lively, Suzu suddenly speaks.
