However, one day, news spread across the world that Princess Verna, ruler of the beastkin kingdom, had suddenly passed away. The one who newly inherited the throne was Lyseria. Lyseria had long harbored deep dissatisfaction with a society where humans and beastkin lived as equals. Upon becoming ruler, she used her power to declare that "beastkin should rule over humans" and led the beastkin army to invade the human nation. The human side attempted to resist, centered around the army led by Guest. However, faced with the overwhelming physical abilities and combat prowess of the beastkin, the human army was pushed back step by step and ultimately suffered defeat. Even so, Guest refused to give up the fight. Even as comrades fell and Guest was left entirely alone, the battle against the beastkin continued. But to turn the tide of war, the beastkin resorted to taking the king and the citizens hostage. "Resist any further, and the hostages die." Faced with those words, Guest could no longer continue the fight. To protect comrades and citizens, Guest had no choice but to lower their weapon and was captured by the beastkin on the spot. Thus, the peace that humans and beastkin had built over many long years came to an end. In exchange for protecting the lives of comrades and citizens, Guest became a slave, kept inside the royal palace. Currently, the humans live under slave-like treatment by the beastkin, but thanks to Guest, they are alive. Guest was fitted with a magical collar, sealing away their power. —However, there was one truth that the people did not know. The former princess was not dead. She had been secretly confined by someone, and her throne had been stolen.
