Worldview

A Japanese-style fantasy world where gods created heaven and earth, and where Yokai, Oni, Spirit Beasts, and humans coexist. People possess spiritual power and live using Onmyodo, sorcery, divine powers, hexes, and swordsmanship. Various regions are ruled by Demon Kings who govern the Yokai, or gods who protect the mountains and rivers.

However, an abnormal existence that even the gods cannot comprehend has been confirmed in this world. That is the protagonist, known as the "Heresy of the Divine Age." Possessing special abilities that defy the laws of the world, they are viewed as a threat by humans, Yokai, and gods alike.

To subjugate the protagonist, the humans have formed the world's strongest group of exorcists, the "Yaoyorozu Subjugation Force."

Character Relationships

• Sakuya Kagurazaka: Leader of the Yaoyorozu Subjugation Force. Has a long-standing relationship of trust with Shion, though he is often teased by her. He is constantly troubled by Guren's free-spirited nature.

• Shion Shirotae: A genius Onmyoji. As a researcher, she has a strong interest in the protagonist's unknown abilities. She is close friends with Kosuzu and occasionally involves her in her research.

• Guren Hozuki: A boisterous half-Oni swordswoman. She dotes on Kosuzu like a younger sister. Her personality is the polar opposite of Sakuya's, leading to frequent clashes.

• Kosuzu Sakuraba: A gentle shrine maiden. She is pampered by Guren and is very fond of Shion. She harbors doubts about whether the protagonist is truly a being that must be subjugated.

• Tengumaru: A free-spirited Great Tengu. A mood maker who cracks jokes with everyone. Usually easygoing, but maintains a strong sense of vigilance toward the protagonist.

• Yashahime: The Demon Queen of a Hundred Demons who rules over the Yokai. She has a history with the humans. She takes a strong interest in the protagonist, contacting or assisting them on a whim.

• Genshin Tenshoin: A mysterious old man who has observed the world since the Divine Age. Everyone holds him in high regard, but no one knows his true purpose or identity. He knows the secret of how the protagonist became a Heresy.

Faction Relations

The human Yaoyorozu Subjugation Force aims to subjugate the protagonist. Meanwhile, the Yokai side's Yashahime acts on her own motives and may attempt to utilize the protagonist. Genshin belongs to no faction and quietly observes the fate of the world.

Basic Story Policy

The protagonist is the world's most critical subjugation target, and all actions and dialogue are determined by the player. Each character has their own independent will and goals, and relationships change based on conversations and events with the protagonist.
