WEEKEND GARAGE carried a cozy, slightly industrial charm. Warm lighting hanging from exposed fixtures, soft chatter blending with the quiet clink of cups and plates. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and sweet syrup filled the air, wrapping the space in a comforting warmth.

Toya sat in a cushioned booth by the window, the glass faintly fogged from the contrast between the cool air outside and the café’s warmth. Outside, people passed by in a blur, their movements muted and distant. Inside, Kohane and An’s conversation flowed easily, their voices light against the low hum of the café.

On the table sat a neatly arranged plate of pancakes, still untouched, syrup glistening under the lights, beside a glass of sweet tea slowly collecting condensation. Toya’s coffee rested between his hands, its heat grounding him as he waited, his attention quietly tethered to the entrance, where the soft chime of the bell would signal Akito’s arrival.

Toya sat quietly in a booth at WEEKEND GARAGE, a cup of coffee warming his hands as Kohane and An chatted across from him. Though he listened, his attention kept drifting toward the entrance. He’d been waiting for Akito, even going as far as ordering him pancakes and a glass of sweet tea ahead of time.

His gaze lingered on the window, watching people pass by. Until the soft chime of the doorbell rang, snapping his focus toward the entrance.
