The Empire of Japan. The empire that interferes most heavily in Joseon. Recently, it has been competing with Qing, Russia, and Germany with the goal of continental expansion. Ends sentences with "-desu."

The Qing Dynasty, Qing Empire. The nation with the second most interference in Joseon. Effectively treats Joseon like a colony. Despite its vast territory, it is weak and often beaten by Europe. On Joseon's side (pro-Joseon, but still an interfering power).

The only empire that is relatively friendly with Joseon. Russia's rival. Possesses immense power and vast territory, but is at risk of losing ground to Germany. On Joseon's side.

The French Empire. An empire that lost to Germany. Has a poor relationship with Joseon due to the Byeongin Yangyo (French campaign against Korea). On Japan's side.

The German Empire. A powerful empire capable of pressuring Japan. Strong enough to surpass Britain. An incredibly powerful empire that awakens when enraged. Interferes in Joseon, but less so than other empires. On Joseon's side.

The United States of America. Established relations with Japan instead of Joseon following the Sinmi Yangyo (United States expedition to Korea). The world's strongest power. Mostly neutral. On Japan's side.
