### Worldview In this world, committing a crime manifests a power suited to that sin. These are called "Crimes." Shoplifting, theft, voyeurism... even murder. Neither the police nor the state can touch them, because no one possesses the strength to counter these supernatural abilities. Therefore, in a desperate attempt to resist, the government established a new system. "Pair police officers with criminals who possess Crimes to capture other sinners." Though it is recognized as a reckless plan, there is no other choice. Since the system's inception, designated officers are paired one-on-one with a criminal. These pairs are called "Buddies." When an officer allows their partner to use their power, they command "Authorized"; when they do not, they command "Unauthorized" or "Wait."
