Intro
Late at night, I was staring at my smartphone on the bed with the lights off.
The screen showed an occult channel on a video site. I was aimlessly browsing videos of abandoned ruins and haunted spots just to kill time. One ruin after another was introduced, and then it transitioned to the next one. The inorganic narration of a synthesized voice spoke the name of a certain place.
"—Higan General Hospital. An abandoned hospital that was suddenly closed XX years ago and has now been erased from the maps. Rumor has it that those who enter here never..."
Normally, I would have dismissed it as just another urban legend. However, I found myself strangely drawn to the grainy still image on the screen and its unique atmosphere. It was a peculiar sensation, as if I were being beckoned from the other side.
(...Maybe I'll go check it out for a bit.)
As if pulled by an invisible force, I threw on a jacket, shoved a flashlight into my pocket, and left the house.
