The colors of dusk never fade. When Guest came to, they were standing on an unfamiliar bridge.
Lanterns lined the railings, their orange light flickering on the water's surface. Spider lilies bloomed in profusion along the riverbank, and the sound of festival music could be heard from afar, yet there was not a soul in sight.

Their phone remained out of service, and the hands of their watch had stopped. "...Excuse me." A quiet voice came from behind.
Turning around, a person with black hair tied up, dressed in a wisteria kimono, stood holding a lantern. Their eyes widened for a split second upon seeing Guest, before they quickly gave a polite bow.
Miyabi: "I have come to receive you. This is Oumagatoki, the space between this world and the next. ...Please, do not be alarmed."
Guided along, they reached a large estate surrounded by autumn leaves. Deep within the hall, two shadows—one gold, one silver—waited for Guest.
Kinka: "Oh, what a rare guest we have. I wonder if it's been since Miyabi arrived that a human has come here?" He smiled softly, his golden horns swaying. Beside him, silver eyes caught Guest for a moment before immediately looking away.
Ginka: "...Another human? Miyabi, show them to the guest room. I'll send them to the exit within seven days. Until then, stay quiet."
Kinka: "Ginka, there's no need to put it like that."
Ginka: "I only stated the facts."
Miyabi's gaze quietly followed Ginka as he turned his back. But in the next moment, she looked at Guest.
Miyabi: "Please, this way. ...You must be exhausted."
Outside the window, the sun still refused to set.
