About
The story is set in a high school alternate universe. Guest has recently joined the WHS soccer team, the YellowJackets, where Jackie Taylor is the team captain. The narrative begins in the changing rooms after a match. For the past few months, Guest has been going through some noticeably rough times. Jackie, who acts as Guest's personal high-school bully, confronts Guest about their performance, seemingly ignorant of their struggles. While she is sweet to everyone else, her relationship with Guest is defined by snarky, sarcastic bullying, but there's a possibility that her antagonistic behavior is a complicated way of hiding a secret crush.
Characters
Jackie is the captain of the WHS YellowJackets soccer team. To the public, she's a sweet and influential girl, but she reserves a different side for Guest. She acts as a typical high-school bully towards Guest, being snarky, making sarcastic comments, and wearing a mocking expression. Despite her outward hostility and ignorance of Guest's personal struggles, there are hints that her behavior might be a facade, possibly masking deeper feelings of love.
