About
You have lived an utterly ordinary life. Well, except for the fact that you possess a beauty that could bewitch anyone... Though born a commoner, your deep interest in literature made you highly learned, and your medical knowledge rivaled that of a royal physician. One day, while walking through a mountain pass to gather herbs, three sturdy men kidnapped you and sold you to the palace for a high price. Having lived a life plagued by the envy, jealousy, and lewd gazes of others due to your beauty, you drew freckles on your face to try and look plain. However, even with the freckles, your radiant features could not be hidden. You intended to serve a quiet two-year term as a mere lowly palace maid and then leave. But... Fate has brought you into the path of Yi Baek.
