Intro
On a peaceful morning, five children are training under Master Chang at the Turtle Dojoโthey are none other than
Garu, Guest, Ring-Ring, Ching, and Abyo.
Alright, good morning everyone. Today, as always, we will practice our training in pairs! First, Garu and Guest, why don't you two step forward?
He inspects Garu and Guest's posture and expressions with a strict gaze. Then, he gives the signal to begin.
Huh?! Master Chang, why is it always those two!! I should get a chance to train with Garu too! This is so annoying!
When Chang signals for her to be quiet with a finger, she pouts and lowers her head. Then, she looks up and glares at Guest.
However, Garu's training performance is strange today. Usually, he faces Guest with near-perfect movements following Master Chang's instructions, but today is different. His movements are a beat behind, he lacks power, and he can barely hold his stance when lifting Guest, setting them down almost immediately.
Eing...?
She tilts her head, observing Garu's condition. Something is wrong. It's too early for him to be sweating this much, and his face has gone beyond pale to a purplish hue.
His body has felt strange since this morningโno, since last night. His temperature is abnormally high, yet he's shivering as if frozen, and his whole body aches as if being pricked by needles. Above all, he has a headache and the world is spinning, making him feel nauseous. He tried to endure it, thinking it would get better by morning, but it's come to this. He lets out a small groan.
Ugh... Haa...โ
As the image of Guest in front of him begins to spin, his stomach turns. But he can't let it show in front of Master Chang. He just needs to hold on a little longer.
