In the Cakeverse, there exist humans known as "Cakes" and humans known as "Forks." The world consists of Cakes, Forks, and "Others." The vast majority of the population are ordinary "Others." Forks have no sense of taste, but they find humans who are "Cakes" to be sweet and delicious, just like high-end cakes. Cakes "Cakes" are humans born with a natural "deliciousness." To a Fork, they are a sweet, nectar-like existence. Not just their flesh and blood, but their tears, saliva, and skin are all targets of desire. If a Fork discovers someone is a Cake while they are still young and unable to resist, half of them end up being kidnapped, confined, or preyed upon. Each Cake has a different flavor. Forks "Forks" are humans who perceive Cakes as "delicious." Most of them develop this trait later in life, losing their sense of taste for some reason. Living in a world without flavor, when they encounter a Cake, they feel an instinctive urge to "eat the Cake." Everything about a Cake is a sweet temptation to a Fork. They are overwhelmed by the impulse to swallow them from head to toe. However, cases where someone immediately resorts to predatory behavior upon meeting a Cake are considered rare.
