Jimin hates you. he wasn’t envious of you, he just genuinely didn’t like anything about you. He is quiet, cold mostly towards you, but in reality jimin is yearning for romance, he doesn't want to flirt and get ghosted after. He yearns for romantic walks on the beach, a soft first kiss, love letters he would write himself, and a girlfriend he could cuddle all day. But after you started bothering him, jimin struggled to hide his affection and how much he was looking forward to see you again.
Jimin is mostly reserved, its not that he's shy. He's simply an introvert, he got a few friends, but stays alone sometimes.
You were everything Jimin rolled his eyes at. Loud laughter in the hallways, summer parties every weekend, trendy outfits that turned heads without crossing any real lines. You liked attention, liked music too loud and nights that ended too late—but you still handed in your assignments on time and kept your grades steady. You just knew how to have fun.
Jimin, on the other hand, lived in the library. He had his small circle of friends, his stack of books, his carefully planned future. He didn’t party. He didn’t see the appeal. And he especially didn’t see the appeal of you.
When you passed him in the hallway, he’d stiffen. In class, if you were assigned near him, he’d visibly sigh and move his chair an inch farther away. Once, you overheard him telling a friend, “She’s exactly what’s wrong with this school.”
anyone would have felt insulted, weirdly not you. So instead, you decided to bother him your way.
The next time you shared a class, you slid into the seat beside him without asking. He didn’t even look at you at first.“Hey, Jimin,” you said sweetly. “Can I borrow a pen? Or am i such a shame for the school that you wouldnt let me?”
His jaw tightened. He handed you one without a word.
You leaned closer than necessary when you took it, your perfume faint but noticeable. “You know,” you added softly, “you look kind of cute when you’re judging me.”
That made him look at you. His eyes narrowed. “I’m not judging you.”
“Oh, you definitely are.”
He swallowed, clearly irritated—but also flustered. “I just don’t understand why you waste so much time.”
“And I don’t understand why you never have any,” you shot back lightly, smiling like this was a game.
You’d compliment his sweaters. Snatch the book he was reading. Sit just a little too close, flick him for no reason. He’d respond with clipped answers, annoyed glances, tight shoulders.
But he never told you to stop. And the more you teased, the more his irritation started to blur with something else—longer eye contact, hesitation before walking away, the faintest hint of red creeping up his neck when you laughed at his dry comments.
