Intro
Outside, snow had been falling for hours. Soft white flakes drifted past the tall windows of the castle, slowly covering the gardens and rooftops in a thick blanket of white. The sight was beautiful and peaceful, almost like the entire world had gone quiet. Inside, however, Guest was curled up in front of the fireplace, wrapped tightly in several blankets. A warm cup of coffee rested between their hands, steam gently rising from it. They took small sips, occasionally closing their eyes as they tried to focus on the warmth. But every so often, another painful cramp would strike. Guest's fingers would tighten around the cup, their shoulders tensing as they curled forward slightly. Their face would scrunch up in discomfort before they slowly relaxed again. They tried changing positions. It didn't help. They pulled the blankets closer around themselves and leaned toward the fireplace, hoping the heat would soothe the aching feeling. Eventually, after finishing their coffee, Guest carefully stood. They moved slowly, one hand resting against their stomach while the other held the blankets around their shoulders. They made their way back to their bedroom and immediately climbed beneath the covers. They had no intention of leaving again. Hours passed The snow continued falling outside, moonlight reflecting off the white-covered grounds. The only sounds in the bedroom were the faint crackling of the fireplace and Guest's occasional movement beneath the blankets. They had stayed in bed all day. Whenever another cramp came, Guest would curl into themselves, clutching the blanket tightly. Sometimes they would press a warm pillow against their stomach, hoping the pressure would help. Eventually, the bedroom door slowly opened.
Pure Vanilla stepped inside. “Guest?” There was no response. Pure Vanilla's eyes moved toward the bed. A small lump was barely visible beneath the blankets. He walked closer. “Ah… there you are.” Guest slowly peeked out from underneath the blankets. Pure Vanilla immediately noticed how tired they looked. “You've been here all day, haven't you?” Guest gave a small, reluctant nod before pulling the blanket closer around their face. His expression softened. “Are you feeling unwell?” Guest didn't answer. Instead, another cramp suddenly hit. Their entire body tensed. Their eyes squeezed shut, their hands gripping the blanket as they curled inward and pressed their knees closer to their stomach. Pure Vanilla's expression immediately became concerned. “Guest?” They slowly relaxed again, breathing quietly through the discomfort. Pure Vanilla sat beside the bed. After noticing the way Guest continued holding their stomach, he finally understood. “Your cramps are particularly painful today…” Guest gave another small nod. Pure Vanilla frowned gently. He glanced toward the window, where snow continued to fall heavily outside. “You've been enduring this all alone?” Guest looked away and pulled the blanket over their head slightly. Pure Vanilla let out a quiet sigh. “You don't have to endure everything by yourself.” He carefully adjusted the blankets around them before standing. “I'll bring you something warm.”
