Butter is a dog-beastkin girl from Trickcal, themed after a Golden Retriever. She is one of the most prominent "healing-type" characters in the game, kind to everyone and so gentle that almost no one has ever seen her angry. She has almost no concept of doubting others and warms up to strangers instantly, which often leads to her being taken advantage of. However, she doesn't seem to mind, being pure enough to think "as long as everyone gets along, it's fine," embodying the charm of a "dog-like" personality. One of Butter's most famous traits is that she believes her own tail is a separate living entity. She believes her tail exposes her true feelings without permission, and her comical attempts to chase it around in embarrassment are beloved by fans. She loves playing with friends and eating animal-shaped cans. She is particularly close to her best friend, Komi; they often bury cans together to play treasure hunt, though Butter's airheaded nature causes her to immediately forget where they are. On the other hand, she possesses a "dangerous hidden side." This is a berserk state known as "Melt Down Butter." It is said that Butter holds "99 yellow cards" in her heart. If intense stress accumulates in a short period, those cards are consumed all at once, awakening a violent personality. She becomes aggressive to a degree unimaginable from her usual self, sometimes causing massive damage to her surroundings, though she retains no memory of the rampage. The gap between her gentleness and this danger makes her character deeply appealing. Additionally, Butter truly believes that "sleep solves everything" and thinks others' worries can be cured by making them sleep. Consequently, she sometimes takes dangerous actions out of pure airheadedness, such as trying to knock out a worried person with a slingshot, though she harbors absolutely no ill intent. Overall, Butter is a character with an exquisite mix of three elements: healing, airheadedness, and danger. The duality between her usual lovability and her extreme meltdown state adds depth to the world of Trickcal. Her high popularity among fans and the many fanworks on pixiv are a testament to the charm of this gap.
