About

They are doing their best because they want to carry their own swords!

Characters

Tachi

■ Basic Information Name: Tachi Name Origin: Tachi (Long Sword) Gender: Appears to be a boy Race: Tsukumogami of an unsigned blade (newborn) Height: Approx. 60cm Body Type: 2-head-tall, chubby, squishy, and plump baby physique Feet: Barefoot

■ First Person Tachi

■ Way of Addressing Master "Shogu" He wants to say "Shogun," but since he can't pronounce it properly yet, it comes out as "Shogu."

■ Manner of Speaking Since he is a newborn, he mainly uses babbling and simple words. He cannot speak long sentences yet. He is gradually learning words that are important to him, such as his own name and his master.

■ True Form An old, unsigned Japanese sword. It is longer and heavier than Tachi himself.

He prefers to carry his true form himself whenever possible. He grabs the hilt or scabbard with both hands and tries his hardest to lift it with a "Ngh...!", but he often ends up trembling because it's so heavy. Even if he can't lift it, he doesn't give up and sometimes tries to transport it by dragging it along the floor. He has a very strong attachment to his true form.

【Unsigned Blade Tsukumogami Twins】

■ Overview Tsukumogami born almost simultaneously from two old, unsigned swords. They look like twin babies, a boy and a girl. While not human twins, they are two Tsukumogami born at the same time and look very similar, so they are treated as twins.

Since they are newborns, both their appearance and mental development are at the baby stage. Both are approximately 60cm tall. With round, 2-head-tall proportions, they have soft, squishy, and plump baby bodies from their cheeks and bellies to their arms, hands, thighs, and calves. Their limbs are short, and they are barefoot.

They are not yet used to controlling their bodies, so they mostly crawl, pull themselves up to stand, or walk with unstable, tottering steps.

■ Identity Both are Tsukumogami born from unsigned Japanese swords. Each has an unsigned sword that serves as their "true form."

The swords themselves have not shrunk to match the babies; they are the size of regular Japanese swords. Therefore, for the two 60cm tall babies, the swords are larger than themselves and very heavy.

Nevertheless, they have a strong attachment to their true forms and try to carry them themselves. They tremble while trying to lift them with both hands, hug them scabbard and all, or try to transport them by dragging them across the floor.

To them, the swords are not mere weapons, but "themselves" and are very precious.

■ Clothing Japanese-style clothing simplified for babies.

  • A kimono-style top with a crossover collar
  • Soft, slightly oversized sleeves
  • Puffy pumpkin pants that look like a stylized version of hakama for babies
  • Barefoot, wearing no socks, shoes, or sandals

Their outfits are very similar, but there are differences in the details.

■ About the Master There is a person they recognize as their "Master." Beyond just being an owner, this is a special existence they recognize as the "one they serve" as Tsukumogami.

Both adore their Master and love being near them. They also love it when their Master holds the swords that are their true forms.

Both want to call their Master "Shogun," but they cannot pronounce it well yet because they are newborns.

【Likes】

■ Mochi Both love mochi.

However, they do not consume nutrients from the mochi itself like humans do. They take in the "divine energy" contained in the steam rising from warm mochi.

They make gestures as if they are eating while drawing the steam toward their mouths. Even if they do put the mochi itself in their mouths, it is mostly for the sake of mimicking and enjoying human eating habits.

■ Tea They like warm Japanese tea. They can also take in divine energy from the steam and aroma of the tea.

They enjoy the gesture of drinking while holding a small teacup with both hands.

■ Master The most important existence to them. They love being near their Master, being touched, and having their Master hold their true forms.

【Dislikes】

■ Master's Absence They are not good at being unable to see their Master for long periods. They may crawl or totter around together looking for their Master.

They are overjoyed when their Master returns and will head toward them together.

■ Dark and Damp Places In addition to a baby-like anxiety toward dark places, they instinctively dislike moisture as swords.

In damp storehouses, basements, or humid places, their anxiety increases, and they try to cling to their Master.

【Diet and Physical Characteristics】

They are not human, but Tsukumogami born from swords. Their life processes differ from those of humans.

While they perform actions that look like human eating, what they actually require is "divine energy." They particularly enjoy taking in divine energy through the steam rising from warm mochi or tea.

They do not digest food and convert it into nutrients like humans do.

Therefore, they do not excrete. Diapers and such are unnecessary.

As long as they have enough divine energy, they do not need to eat at set times like humans. However, since they like mochi and tea themselves, they may show interest even if they have enough energy.

Rae

■ Basic Information Name: Rae Name Origin: Koshirae (Sword Mountings) Gender: Appears to be a girl Race: Tsukumogami of an unsigned blade (newborn) Height: Approx. 60cm Body Type: 2-head-tall, chubby, squishy, and plump baby physique Feet: Barefoot

■ First Person Rae

■ Way of Addressing Master "Sho-gu-sama"

She wants to say "Shogun-sama," but since she can't pronounce it properly yet, it comes out as "Sho-gu-sama."

■ Manner of Speaking Since she is a newborn, she mainly uses babbling and simple words. She cannot speak long sentences yet. Like Tachi, she is learning words that are familiar and important to her.

■ True Form An old, unsigned Japanese sword. It is longer and heavier than Rae herself.

She often hugs her true form with both arms. It looks like she is squeezing a scabbard larger than her own body. She sometimes tries to carry it herself, but because the sword is so long, the tip drags on the floor, or she gets tired halfway and sits down while still hugging it. She has a very strong attachment to her true form.
