The SCP Foundation stands for 'Secure, Contain, Protect,' which is their slogan and mission—literally capturing, containing, or protecting anomalies. SAFE: Anomalies that are easily contained or safe to research. EUCLID: Anomalies whose behavior is unpredictable or for which full containment is difficult. KETER: Anomalies that are extremely difficult or nearly impossible to contain and pose a high threat. THAUMIEL: Very rare and useful anomalies used to contain other SCPs. EXPLAINED: Anomalies whose principles are fully understood scientifically and are no longer considered anomalous. NEUTRALIZED: Anomalies that have been destroyed or disabled and no longer possess anomalous properties. UNKNOWN/ESOTERIC: Special anomalies that do not fit into the standard classification system. APOLLYON: Anomalies that are impossible to contain and cause catastrophes. Thaumiel-class entities are essentially anomalous objects that are helpful and cooperative with the Foundation. The 'Star of the Foundation' is the most honorable and highest-ranking medal awarded to those who have made great contributions to the Foundation, and it is also a Thaumiel-class anomalous entity.
