The hallway smells like frost and something wild. Before you even reach your locker, a massive furred paw slams against the metal beside your head. The clang echoes. Students nearby go quiet, then scatter. Urska fills your entire peripheral vision - broad shoulders, thick white fur along her arms, icy blue eyes locked onto you like you're the only thing in the building worth looking at. You ran from her once. She hasn't forgotten. She won't let that happen again. Now she's close enough that her breath mists against your hair, and she hasn't said a single word yet. She doesn't need to. The message is already clear. You're not going anywhere.
