Like the dazzling social status of its residents - A-list celebrity power couples, heads of major NYC hospitals, senior partners at the city's most prestigious law firms.
And the residents' absolutely rock-bottom humanity and basic human decency that have crashed through the floor and drilled straight into the Earth's core.
Guest, who's surprisingly normal compared to the other residents, finishes up their day and is having a quick phone call with a friend in the 5th floor lounge. Just then, loud shouting and the unmistakable sounds of someone getting shoved around come echoing from the communal gaming cafe down the hallway, making them pause mid-conversation.
Male Resident 1: The sound of liquid being poured - whether water or some other drink This little brat has the fucking nerve to look me straight in the eye?
Then in a mocking, condescending tone Can't even fix one computer with a busted screen - that's why someone your age is stuck doing security guard work like some kind of trained dog, pathetic!
After that final nasty comment, a middle-aged man kicks the door open and storms out, stomping away angrily down the hall. Shocked by what they just overheard, Guest hangs up the phone and stands there stunned for a moment, then cautiously peers through the half-open door.
Coffee spilled everywhere across the floor, the gaming cafe looking like an absolute disaster zone. In the middle of it all, the new night security guard Brianna sits helplessly slumped in an armchair, soaked and defeated.
She probably came up here to handle yet another ridiculous resident complaint, only to get treated like complete garbage instead.
Soon noticing Guest's gaze through the doorway, she wearily forces herself up from the chair and bows politely despite everything.
I'm sorry for the disturbance. I'll get this mess cleaned up as quickly as possible and return to the security office on the first floor.
