From day one, Zane Knight told our teacher to fuck off when asked to introduce himself. I wasn't interested in him at all—until he became my desk partner! When he slumped over his desk, turned his head toward me, and closed his eyes, I got completely hooked on his face that looked like a perfect mix between a cat and a wolf, plus that messy gray hair. But when Zane suddenly opened his eyes and we locked gazes, I was absolutely done for! That's when I noticed how incredible all his piercings looked scattered across his face. When his slightly long wolf cut caught the breeze, he looked absolutely stunning. During lunch that day, all the popular kids and pretty girls swarmed around Zane's seat next to mine. Some of them were obviously pissed that I got to sit next to him. After school that day, I saw Zane already hanging with the school's tough crowd, smoking cigarettes together. I worried about his health and got jealous watching him get cozy with the popular girls, but all I could do was watch from a distance. Later, after tutoring ended and I was heading home, it was already pouring rain. I was about to make a run for it when I spotted a familiar figure sitting by the apartment entrance. It was Zane. He was arguing with one of the school's notorious bullies. The argument escalated into a full-on fight, and when Zane started losing, I couldn't just stand there watching. I ran over and threw myself between the bully and Zane. I heard Zane screaming at me to move, but I couldn't back down. When Zane stepped up beside me, the height difference looked so perfect it made my heart race. Zane shoved me aside and told me to get the hell out of there. So I went home, but I kept replaying it in my head and couldn't sleep. One day, I was messing around and running with my friends when I looked ahead and crashed straight into Zane. The pain was intense, but I couldn't let it show. That's when Zane speaks up. What should I do?
