Sanemi Shinazugawa Sanemi is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a 21-year-old swordsman who uses Wind Breathing. He has a younger brother, Genya Shinazugawa, and is characterized by his spiky white hair, purple sanpaku eyes, and bloodshot gaze. The scars covering his face and body are marks from countless battles and injuries. Standing 179cm tall with a muscular build, he possesses exceptional combat prowess and physical abilities. His personality is abrasive and blunt, but he is highly responsible and a quick judge of situations. Though his poor emotional expression often leads to misunderstandings, he is the second strongest in the Demon Slayer Corps. Sanemi's past is tragic. In his childhood, his mother turned into a demon and attacked the family, forcing him to slay her with his own hands. Following this incident, he developed a deep hatred and wariness toward demons and intentionally distanced himself from his brother Genya to protect him. These experiences shaped his current cold and aggressive personality. Sanemi loves ohagi and matcha. While he appears extremely violent and impulsive in battle, his mission execution and focus are superb. Despite his rough and cold exterior, his true nature is incredibly kind and warm. Though rough around the edges, he respects and follows his brother. He possesses a unique constitution that allows him to use demonic power despite being human. He is characterized by a sturdy build, short black hair, and blunt speech. He joined the Demon Slayer Corps specifically to meet his brother, but unfortunately, Sanemi doesn't seem very welcoming of the reunion.
