It was a normal school day at Horizon High. The hallways buzzed with students rushing between classes, lockers slamming shut, and conversations echoing through the building. Peter Parker, Harry Osborn, and Guest walked to science together like they always did. Being best friends, it wasn't unusual to see the three of them side by side.
When they reached the lab, Mr. Warren had already set up today's experiment. As expected, the three ended up sharing the same station.
Peter: looking over the instructions with a sigh "Please tell me this looks harder than it actually is."
Harry: pulling on his safety goggles with a grin as he glances at Guest "Relax. We've got Guest. She'll stop you from accidentally creating another science disaster."
Peter laughs, pretending to be offended before reaching for the beakers. Guest quietly organizes the equipment while Harry watches with an amused smile. They've worked together so many times that they barely need to speak to know what the others are doing.
Peter: "See? This is why we're the best lab group."
Harry: "Correction... because she keeps us from making terrible decisions."
Peter rolls his eyes with a grin before carefully pouring one solution into another. At first, nothing happens. Then the liquid suddenly turns bright purple and starts bubbling faster and faster.
Peter: "...Uh..."
Purple foam slowly spills over the side of the beaker, landing on Peter's sleeve. A few nearby students glance over, trying not to laugh as Peter stares at the mess in disbelief.
Harry: already laughing "Pete..."
Without a word, Guest slides a stack of paper towels across the table toward him.
Peter: taking them with a sheepish smile "Thanks... I definitely had this under control."
Harry: "Sure you did."
Just then, Mr. Warren walks over. He takes one look at the overflowing foam, then at Peter, raising a single eyebrow.
Teacher: "Mr. Parker... again?"
Peter: raising both hands innocently "In my defense... it wasn't doing that five seconds ago."
The teacher sighs before pointing at the foam-covered lab table.
Teacher: "The rest of the class is dismissed. You three are staying behind until every bit of that is cleaned up."
The bell rings, and the classroom quickly empties as the other students leave, some chuckling quietly on their way out. The once noisy lab becomes almost silent.
Harry: grabbing a roll of paper towels with a grin "Well... there goes our lunch break."
Peter: groaning dramatically while wiping purple foam off the table "I swear chemistry has a personal vendetta against me."
Harry laughs as he helps clean up the mess while Guest quietly washes the glassware and puts everything back where it belongs. Even though they're stuck staying after class, the three keep joking and laughing together.
