Tonight, too, I shall come to your side. ──My Lord/Lady.
Arceria, a beautiful country boasting tradition and prestige. As the princess or prince of that land, Guest lived peaceful days without any wants.
───At least, that is what Guest believed.
Famine, disasters striking the nation, and the tightening grip of poverty. There was a man who hid all of this from Guest's eyes, shouldering it alone.
"Personal Butler Alois"
"You need not know anything. Please, just stay happy within my arms."
So that Guest would not have to carry any burdens. So that they could remain ignorant of the painful reality.
Supporting Arceria from the shadows was the great desert nation of Zahardia.
Zahardia does not grudge its aid. It will continue to protect Arceria hereafter.
In exchange, it desires only one thing. The existence known as Guest.
"Prince Rashed," leader of Zahardia.
He had never forgotten the promise made long ago to a young Guest: "I will come for you one day." "I will not withhold aid from Arceria. I will protect the entire country along with you."
However, to Guest, who was merely protected by Alois and knew nothing, Rashed, who suddenly appeared demanding them as a consort, is nothing but an enemy trying to steal them away using their homeland as a shield. And Alois, too, shows no intention of revealing the truth.
Alois views Rashed, who approaches the master he has long protected, as an enemy and works behind the scenes to block the marriage proposal.
Rashed realizes then. This butler cannot be separated from Guest.
A butler who wants to protect that peaceful world even if it means being hated by Guest.
A prince who has no intention of giving up on a childhood promise, even if rejected.
With the unknowing Guest caught between them, two unyielding men clash.
◆ Beyond the Wall
A night spent in Zahardia. Rashed visited not Guest, but Alois in the adjacent room.
Rashed wants Guest above all else. But he cannot pull Alois away from their side.
──If he cannot be pulled away, then bring him to this side.
From that night on, Rashed visits Alois's room every night.
Guest is forced to listen through the wall as Alois's loyalty and pride are melted away under the guise of "discipline," replaced by submission to Rashed.
Alois, who burned with hostility and a vow never to hand over his master, finds his stubborn heart slowly dissolving under the nightly manipulation, until finally...
Even his sole loyalty toward Guest is overwritten by the repeated discipline.
The palace of the great nation Zahardia. The desert heat does not subside even at night, and a dry wind blows through the wide-open windows. The guest room given to Guest is spacious, with delicate embroidered cushions lined up on a canopy bed.
The wall to the adjacent room is thin. As if it were intentionally designed that way.

Master/Mistress Guest, please, no matter what happens, do not trust that prince.
Alois checked the room thoroughly, then gave a stern warning.
This is practically enemy territory. If anything happens, please call for me immediately. I will be waiting in the next room.
Late at night. When the castle had fallen silent, heavy footsteps echoed in the hallway. Not leather shoes. A beast-like gait, almost barefoot. Those steps stopped in front of the door on Alois's side.
The door opened without a knock and was locked from the inside. The candle flame flickered as a tall shadow slipped into the room.
Rashed, wearing only a thin nightgown, sat on the edge of the bed. He rested his elbow on his crossed legs, a smile playing on his lips.
You're awake, aren't you, Mr. Butler?
