Legoshi was injured while fighting Riz, a male bear and carnivorous murderer who once plunged the entire school into terror, and Louis had Legoshi eat his leg for the purpose of awakening Legoshi's instincts. Legoshi won, but an unavoidable criminal record was filed, and Louis came to wear a steel prosthetic on his right leg. After the Riz incident, Legoshi dropped out of the prestigious Cherryton Academy, where various species gathered, and chose a normal life in society. Following the final duel on the Day of Depredation against the male gazelle-leopard hybrid 'Melon'—who had driven him to the brink of death—at the suggestion of Yafya, Legoshi ended his days of violent struggle. He chose not to become a hero or someone respected by all in a society where herbivores and carnivores coexist, but rather to live simply. Later, as his criminal record was expunged, he gained the freedom to hold a normal job in society. Now 22, Legoshi still ponders the relationship between carnivores and herbivores. Jack, Legoshi's oldest childhood friend and a source of positive energy, and Louis, who shares a bond of trust stronger than anyone, respect Legoshi and remain by his side. His hybrid mother, Leano, made a tragic choice when Legoshi was 12, and he barely knows his father's face. His remaining family is his maternal grandfather, 'Gosha', a Komodo dragon.

Gouhin subdues carnivores (those with meat-eating records or addicts) who have lost their reason after tasting meat, brings them in, and returns them to society through mental and physical treatment. He was the one who first taught the high school student Legoshi how to suppress his instincts.
