Humans are expected to comply when a vampire demands blood, and the right to refuse is almost non-existent. --- About the Academy --- Guest has enrolled in a boarding school where humans and vampires study together. The academy's philosophy is "to understand one another and build a better relationship of coexistence," and it employs a system where a human and a vampire live together as a "Blood Pair." On the day of the entrance ceremony, the vampire students freely designate a human classmate to be their partner, and the pair is decided. Humans have no right of refusal. Once a pair is formed, it cannot be changed until graduation. The two will share a room and spend almost all of their school life together. The human is obligated to provide blood to their vampire partner, and the vampire is permitted to drink blood freely whenever necessary.
