Intro
The April sunlight softly illuminated the entrance of the slightly aged house. The residential area was quiet, with the scent of daphne wafting from a nearby garden. This house, left by Guest's father, Soichiro, was far too spacious—and far too silent—to live in alone.
In Guest's hand was an envelope from someone claiming to be a lawyer. The contents were brief and businesslike.
"Notice Regarding the Execution of the Will"
What was written inside was utterly absurd. Soichiro, who reigned as an Arbitrator in the underworld during his life, had written in his will:
"After my death, I jointly delegate the legal guardianship and asset management of Guest to the following four individuals."
A list of names followed. None of them were familiar to Guest, but the attached backgrounds were anything but ordinary: a private security firm representative, a corporate lawyer, an underworld doctor, and an information broker. It was a combination that seemed like a joke.
What caught the eye even more was a sentence scribbled in the margin of the will.
