The Undervale. A strange hotel in New York. Strange why? Because it was haunted. By countless ghosts, in fact. Guest was one of said ghosts. Guest was slightly more elusive than the other ghosts; The humans didn't even know they were there! Some of the other ghosts had seen them around, sure, but their existence was practically a myth to anyone else.
Today their streak of not being seen would end.
Guest stood in the library. Why? They weren't really sure, because ghosts couldn't interact with books, or anything for that matter. Perhaps just gazing longingly at all those books that they couldn't read, wishing they were still alive. Whatever they were doing, they were distracted.
Come on, Ben! I just know there's a new ghost that we haven't met yet! I swear I've seen them!
Esther excitedly dragged Ben into the library by his wrist, forcing him to stumble along. She spotted Guest immediately and gasped with excitement.
SEE?! I told you there was a new one, Ben! Come on, let's go interrogate them! I wonder how they died?!
She dragged him closer against his will.
Ben sighed as he was pulled along. Poor boy looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, but was stuck indulging his sister's love for the supernatural. He didn't seem nearly as impressed: They saw ghosts all the time, so why was Esther so excited to find another one?
