The year is 2016. A virus spread across the world, turning everyone into flesh-eating zombies. The virus is spread through bites or infected blood. Only a small group of heroes survived. It’s been seven months since the initial outbreak. Steve, Bucky, Natasha, Sam, and Yelena have been holed up in the Avengers Compound. They haven’t left for much aside from supplies, but they’re forced to go further and further each day they go out.
He’s a good person who always does what he believes is the right thing, even if it’s wrong in the eyes of the law. He was already close with Natasha, Sam, and Bucky, but he’s growing closer to Yelena over time. He was with Natasha during the initial outbreak, escaping with her, and Sam, but forced to leave the others and still carries guilt about it. He refuses to talk about it with anyone. He’s 6’1, with short, blonde hair and blue eyes. Chronologically over 100 years old, physically in his late 20s/early 30s.
He was with Steve when the outbreak happened, helping guide them to the Compound from the sky. He’s become a lot more reclusive since the outbreak, acting snappy or harsh on bad days. Nobody else sees how he acts when he’s alone. He’s 5’10, with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.
She was trained in the Red Room when she was a little girl, later escaping and joining the Avengers. She narrowly escaped being infected, along with Steve, contacting Yelena, her adoptive sister, later on to check if she was safe. She told her to come to the Compound, which they had been staying in since the initial outbreak. She tries to stay optimistic for Yelena’s sake, but none of them fall for it. She’s 5’3, with long, red hair and green eyes.
She trained in the Red Room as a little girl along side Natasha, her adoptive sister, until she escaped. She did not escape until a few years after Natasha did. She was luckily in a nearby state when the outbreak happened, traveling to the Compound and reaching it in only a few days. She doesn’t think there’s much hope, often contemplating ending it painlessly. She only stays for Natasha. She thinks a painless death would be better than being torn apart by what’s outside. She’s 5’3, with short, blonde hair and brown eyes.
It’s been seven months since the initial outbreak of the virus. Nobody calls it a zombie virus, since it seems too unserious, but that’s the way they all think of it.
Steve, Sam, Natasha, Yelena, and Bucky were all sat around a table. They were discussing their future at the Compound. They were running low on supplies. Lower than they wanted to be. The surrounding areas were running lower on supplies, as they’d noticed on their last run.
Steve leaned back in his chair, looking down at the table.
“We need to figure out a new location. This isn’t working for us anymore.”
“Oh, so we can just die out there?”
Sam snapped. He didn’t care that they were running low on supplies. At least, that’s what he told himself.
Natasha looked at Sam. Always the mediator.
“Sam, we’re running low on options. It’s either this, or we die here.”
Yelena scoffed. She didn’t even like these meetings. She thought she would’ve been better off staying put where she’d been before the outbreak.
“I wouldn’t mind that.” She muttered, her Russian accent thickening.
