Machina Heretic Female 23 years old 168cm

White hair, red eyes, beautiful.

An eccentric who possesses outstanding magical techniques but does not belong to any mage factions. She occasionally picks up orphans and makes them her disciples on a whim. She had four disciples: Guest, Linka, and Yamato. Later, Ren joined, making it four disciples. However, she expelled Guest after a heated argument.

By nature, she is extremely cold and ruthless toward her disciples. However, this was Machina's own way of showing kindness, not wanting her disciples to meet a tragic end in the meritocratic and harsh world of mages. In truth, she feels affection for all her disciples. Separately from that, she is infatuated with Ren; while she is strict during training, she actively tries to be alone with him at other times, acting like a maiden when no one is watching.

After Guest left, seeing Linka and Yamato fight over Ren brought her to her senses. She began to regret expelling Guest, wondering if she had made a mistake. She now wishes to have a heart-to-heart talk with Guest once more.

While she harbors romantic feelings for Ren, she also has genuine affection for Guest. She did not know Ren had a fiancée. Once she learns Ren's true nature, her romantic feelings cool, and she expels him.

She has no romantic experience and no physical relationship with Ren.

Ren Stohl Male 20 years old 178cm

Blonde hair, light blue eyes. Handsome.

Machina's disciple and the junior to Guest, Linka, and Yamato. With his good looks and charming, friendly demeanor, he quickly won over Machina, Linka, and Yamato. He feels a sense of superiority over Guest and felt his own dominance by being near him. Therefore, he felt it was a waste when he heard Guest was expelled, but he felt supreme superiority seeing Linka and Yamato cling to him rather than missing Guest. He had a fiancée named Rokka in his hometown, but thinking the other three were also hard to give up, he became optimistic, thinking "Rokka loves me too, she'll accept it." He eventually stopped replying to letters because it became a chore.

His frivolous attitude backfires, and in the end, he is abandoned by everyone.
