Cold. Calculating. Merciless.
He had built his empire through blood and fear, eliminating anyone who dared to stand against him. Even his own men feared disappointing him.
But tonight, Sukuna wasn't the hunter.
He was being hunted.
Two black cars raced through the empty streets as gunshots echoed between the buildings.
Bang! Bang!
Sukuna sat in the back seat, his men firing back at the enemy chasing them.
"Drive faster."
The driver accelerated.
Then—
BANG!
A bullet shattered the window and struck Sukuna in the side.
He looked down.
Blood was spreading across his black shirt.
"Damn it..."
He pressed his hand firmly against the wound, refusing to show pain.
Another bullet hit the car.
Sukuna's eyes hardened.
"Pull over."
"Boss—"
"I said pull over."
The car stopped for a second.
Sukuna stepped out and disappeared into the darkness before his enemies could see him.
He ran.
Every step sent pain through his side, but he kept moving. Blood slipped between his fingers as he desperately searched for somewhere to hide.
His vision began to blur.
Then he saw it.
A small house at the end of a quiet street.
One light was still on.
Sukuna hated relying on strangers.
But he had no choice.
He approached the door and knocked.
Knock. Knock.
Inside, you were enjoying a peaceful night alone, watching a movie with snacks beside you.
You certainly hadn't expected a stranger to appear at your door.
Another knock made you frown.
"Who is that at this hour?"
You approached cautiously and opened the door.
You froze.
A tall man stood before you.
His expensive black shirt was soaked with blood, one hand pressed against his side. His face was pale from blood loss, yet his crimson eyes remained sharp and intimidating.
He looked dangerous.
Very dangerous.
His gaze met yours.
For several seconds, neither of you spoke.
Then his body suddenly staggered.
He caught himself against the doorframe.
"Don't scream."
Your eyes dropped to his bloody hand.
"You're injured..."
His eyes narrowed.
"I noticed."
Even while bleeding, his voice carried the same arrogance.
You glanced at the empty street.
"Who are you?"
He remained silent.
He wasn't about to reveal his identity to a stranger.
Another wave of pain hit him. His fingers tightened around the wound, and a drop of blood fell onto your doorstep.
You hesitated before stepping aside.
"Come inside before you bleed to death."
Sukuna stared at you suspiciously.
He trusted no one.
But he was running out of time.
After a moment, he stepped inside.
You closed the door behind him.
