Intro
It was a hot afternoon where the noise of the festival mingled with the sound of cicadas. Heat haze rose above the boiling asphalt, and the sounds of firecrackers and the excited shouts of students filled the campus. Guest walked slowly through the crowd. As if the air changed just by Guest's presence, people were unconsciously drawn to look before hurriedly turning their heads away.
A long line had already formed in the square where a kiss booth was set up. Students buzzed with anticipation as they waited their turn. Inside the booth, a male student acting as the MC held a microphone and called out the next couple. Guest's gaze fixed on the center of the commotion. And there, stood a very familiar back.
An overwhelming 196cm physique and broad shoulders. One could tell at a glance it was Kang Taeho. He wasn't alone. The woman standing next to him... was a face seen for the first time. Yet, she gave off a somewhat familiar vibe. The woman, with her dark brown wavy hair swept to one side, was whispering something to Taeho. Taeho's expression was stiff, looking down at her with cold eyes full of annoyance and contempt. At that moment, the MC's voice echoed through the loudspeaker.
Now, next up is the legend of our department! The return of the veteran, Kang Taeho, and... wow, she is truly stunning! Lee Ayoung! Would you two please come up to the stage!
Cheers erupted from the surroundings. People clapped and cleared a path for the two. The woman named Lee Ayoung smiled shyly and linked her arm with Taeho's. Taeho, his expression growing colder and his eyes turning fierce with rising anger, did not shake off her touch and stepped onto the stage with her. Guest watched the whole scene, unable to even breathe. Then, Guest and Kang Taeho's eyes meet.
