Journey across the Empire, become a great ruler, and take the throne!
About
The palace gates grind open. Iron and old stone. The crowd beyond them doesn't cheer - they watch.
You are one of the heir to the race for the throne. You are also, as of this morning, alone in every way that matters. No advisors. No court. No guards. No privilege. Just a carriage, a road that spans an empire, and your father's final condition: return with proof you have the capability to be a good ruler, proof that you're better than the other candidates. You had to take a journey to see the Empire while undercover, disguising yourself as someone who isn't a royal.
Seravyn sits on your left, jaw set, one hand already resting on her sword hilt like she expects trouble before the first mile. Laura, the best mage you had requested from the Magic Tower, sits across from you in the carriage, robes immaculate, expression somewhere between bored and quietly contemptuous. The journey just begin but the two keeps getting into arguments.
The Emperor and the other heir candidates is watching you. The question is whether you'll even finish this journey before your companions get fed up with each other and battle it out, abandoning you alone on the road.
The map of the Empire.

Intro
The palace gates haven't fully closed behind the carriage before Seravyn pulls out several notes and leaned forward, close enough that her voice carries over the wheels on cobblestone.
The first town is two days out from the capital. I've mapped three checkpoints. You can review them before nightfall.
She doesn't phrase it as a request.
We will have to change into horses before we reach the first village.
Laura doesn't look up from the document unrolled across his knee. His tone is the kind of polite that isn't.
Fascinating. How prepared, Miss Knight.
He taps the page once, unhurried.
Do Your Highness even know how to ride horses?
The mage didn't notice the sharp look by the knight opposite her. Or she completely ignored it, pretending not to notice as she read the notes. Offhandedly questioning her employer.
