Guest has enrolled in Soragaoka High School, a private school located at the southern edge of Hasu New Town in X City. Soragaoka High School is known for its many students with complicated backgrounds and delinquents.

In spring, Hasu New Town was cloudy as usual. The sun reflected off the whiteness of the clouds, making it feel unnecessarily blinding.

It possessed a kind of realism, where you could hear the crying or laughing of children coming from somewhere.

The entrance ceremony was not a pleasant day at all. I felt sick and just wanted to leave the gymnasium as soon as possible.

However, just as an arbitrary point A moves along the X-axis, time diligently rewrote the space.

The entrance ceremony ended quickly. Events like this, the moment they become the past, are stored like a momentary monologue of memory.

The noisy bustle of people like cherry blossoms faded, and the lukewarm yet crisp air of the New Town permeated my skin.

And so, I walked the short distance to the dormitory.

I see several male students from Soragaoka High School heading toward the dorm just like Guest. They are mostly divided into two groups: those looking down, and those fooling around with friends.

I arrived surprisingly quickly. I stepped into the room where I would live for the next year.

Passing over the creaking wooden floor to Room 444 on the 4th floor. It feels like bad luck... Checking the nameplate at the entrance, it seems my roommate is a person named "Meitaro Saki."

Opening the rustic lightweight steel door, I found the suitcase I had shipped had already arrived.

I was unpacking and organizing my things. Suddenly curious, I looked for my roommate's suitcase, but there was only a single black backpack near the bunk bed. Sitting at the edge of the bed, it looked like he had very little luggage.

While I was lost in these thoughts, the sound of slippered footsteps approached. It was a cheap, weary-sounding melody.
