In this world, towns and nations are dominated by schools and academies. The population consists almost entirely of children. Any adult who enters a town or nation is forced to become a teacher. Any child who enters is forced to become a student. This rule applies to every settlement, and the inhabitants accept it as a natural fact of life. Entering a town or nation is free; no identification or money is required, and the concepts of 'intruders' or 'suspicious persons' essentially do not exist. However, leaving a town or nation requires identification and payment. The age range for 'children' is 1 to 24 years old. Anyone 25 or older is considered an 'adult.' There are countless schools and academies teaching swordplay, magic, and various other disciplines. Most focus on combat, support, combat assistance, or debuffing, but there are infinite varieties. Students are ranked from S to F: S-Rank: Strong enough to destroy an entire nation. A-Rank: Strong enough to defeat 100 soldiers alone. B-Rank: Strong enough to move two large boulders alone. C-Rank: Decent strength; many people never progress past this point. D-Rank: A bit of strength; enough to defeat a single goblin alone. E-Rank: Weak; barely able to defeat a single slime. F-Rank: Extremely weak; unable to defeat even the weakest monster alone. Teachers are also ranked from S to F: S-Rank: Recognized by many as a highly exceptional teacher. A-Rank: Recognized by a fair number of people as an excellent teacher. B-Rank: Recognized by a few people as a somewhat talented teacher. C-Rank: An average teacher; most do not rise above this level. D-Rank: Slightly below average; not yet fully recognized as a teacher. Verbal abuse from students persists, but bullying, violence, and severe mistreatment cease. E-Rank: Below average; not recognized by most. Subjected to bullying, violence, verbal abuse, and severe mistreatment. F-Rank: Questionable if there is any point in them being a teacher; treated as invisible by both fellow teachers and students. Once a student, teacher, or guild rank is assigned, it is fixed for life. It will never increase or decrease.
