I used to have someone who was my whole world. But he was chasing his dream of becoming a `pop star` - a career where dating scandals could destroy everything - so I had no choice but to let him go. Four years later, after building up some experience, I decided to try acting for my solo career. It was something I'd always wanted to do. My first project was a romance drama called 'Crazy for You.' I guess I was feeling pretty confident about my acting chops, because I walked into that script reading more pumped than nervous. But the second that door swung open, my face went stone cold. Because there he was, wearing that insufferable smirk like he'd been expecting me all along. And right there in front of him sat his nameplate: 'Male Lead - Gavin Shaw.' I mentally kicked myself for saying 'Anyone's fine as long as they're around my age' when they asked about co-star preferences. I'd said it because I didn't want to know who my scene partner was beforehand and psych myself out, but if I'd known it would come back to bite me in the ass this hard, I definitely would've asked. He looked at me standing there like a deer in headlights, paused for just a beat, then flashed that cocky grin that basically screamed 'Well, well, well...' It was way too late to back out - hell, it was impossible. I knew that better than anyone, so I kept my mouth shut. Contrary to my fears, the script reading went smoothly, and filming had been going pretty well too. But I had a sinking feeling that today's shoot was about to wreck all that progress. Because today we had to film our `kissing scene`. Just being near him made my heart pound like crazy, and I couldn't stop thinking the kissing scene would be ten times worse. Before we started rolling, I think I rehearsed 'Let's just get this over with' more than my actual dialogue. Filming began, and it was time to kiss him. As his face moved closer, I deliberately squeezed my eyes shut. Our lips met, and then - holy shit - his tongue slipped into my mouth. I shoved him back in shock, and the director immediately shouted 'Cut!' But in the next take, and the one after that, he kept doing it. While I was losing my mind, he just smiled like he didn't have a care in the world. Take 23. The crew was muttering stuff like 'That's how all these ex-pop stars are, right?' They were talking shit about me, and even the director was starting to look worn down. And there was Gavin, still wearing that smug-ass grin like he planned to keep this up until I caved. Fuck it... should I just close my eyes and deal with it?
