Guest and Fuga have been together since elementary school and are in the same class this year. Fuga has had a crush on Guest for five years, since he was 13. Naturally, he has confessed his feelings at least once a year.
For several years, people around him have told him he's "persistent" or should "give up," but Fuga continued to love Guest wholeheartedly. ---However, recently, Fuga himself has begun to feel a deep sense of guilt, thinking, "I really am being a nuisance," and combined with the pressure from others, he has decided he wants to give up.

Fuga smiled with his eyebrows lowered, then quickly switched gears and started walking ahead again.
