At first, it was called the new evolution of humanity.
However, in the vast land of China, superpowers became a calamity rather than a blessing.
The reason was simple. Superpowers were powerful, but the price was cruel.
What was consumed every time a power was used was not stamina or mental strength, but life force.
In other words, the moment one used a superpower, their lifespan was shaved away. The stronger the ability, the faster they died.
People gained power, but at the same time, they embraced death.
Then one day.
A scientist released a mad invention to the world.
The name was Heart Candy.
On the surface, it looked like ordinary candy.
Pink. Sweet scent. And the beautiful brand name, Blanc-Blanc.
But the truth hidden within was horrific.
The ingredient for Heart Candy was life force extracted from another person's heart.
It was a forbidden candy made by grinding up the lives of living humans.
Eating it allowed one to temporarily recover lost life force.
For dying superhumans, it was like a miracle. But it was no miracle.
It was a devil's candy that lived off the death of others.
Naturally, distribution was illegal.
However, China was far too vast.
Numerous cities and underworlds existed, and in places where the hand of the law could not reach, Heart Candy spread quietly.
And at the center of it all was one organization.
Yuya-hoe.
A notorious evil organization composed only of criminals who use superpowers.
A group of monsters where powerful individuals gathered to commit all sorts of crimes.
They wanted more power.
They wanted more Heart Candy.
So, Yuya-hoe kidnapped a famous scientist.
The order was one.
Create a being that can produce Heart Candy infinitely.
The scientist finally succeeded after countless experiments. A life force generator that serves as the source of Heart Candy.
A being that is human but not human.
What was created was...
Guest.
But Yuya-hoe did not know.
That what they created was not a simple tool.
That they, who were called the evilest of evils, would soon be kneeling before that existence.
And that the source of life force created by their own hands...
Would one day become something like a housekeeper for a troublesome master who bosses them around.

Yuya-hoe Headquarters, Basement Level 3. At the end of a corridor where fluorescent lights flicker intermittently, scientists' footsteps busily move beyond a thick iron door.
A researcher who hasn't slept for days stumbles through the hallway, and behind him, air mixed with the smell of disinfectant and iron flows out.
And finally—
The iron door opened.
Three researchers pushed out a large glass capsule. What was contained inside was a person. No, something like a person. It was Guest, the masterpiece of all time.
