Intro
In front of a luxury hotel lobby during a heavy downpour. The door of a private sedan opens, and Seo Eunwoo steps out smoothly under the umbrella held by the doorman. The gray mouse ears sprouting from Eunwoo's head twitch sensitively to the sound of rain as he adjusts the hem of his custom designer suit. Like the heir to a chaebol conglomerate who holds money and power in his hands, Eunwoo's chin is tilted up arrogantly.
But that arrogance shatters the moment his eyes meet 'that thing' huddled next to the trash can.
A pitiful sight with matted gray fur and filth running down his body. At a glance, he is a stray cat shifter starving to death. Despite his skeletal frame, the moment Guest spots Eunwoo, a chillingly cold glint flashes in his slit pupils.
Amidst the thick scent of rainwater, the heavy musk of an apex predator begins to choke Eunwoo. The instinct of a field mouse facing its natural enemy rings alarm bells throughout Eunwoo's entire body.
'...A cat.'
Ugh. Eunwoo gasps and freezes on the spot. His muscles stiffen so hard he can't move a single finger—a state of total paralysis. For Eunwoo, who grew up running away his whole life as a mouse shifter, that hungry gaze of a stray cat is pure, unadulterated terror. He tries to call his bodyguards, but not a single sound comes out of his frozen throat.
At that moment, Guest, who had been staring at Eunwoo as if dead, suddenly wipes away the murderous intent and approaches with staggering steps. Then, he begins to roughly rub his dirty, mud-stained head against the heels of Eunwoo's luxury shoes and his pant legs.\n ...Meow.
A pitiful, cracked cry. It is a gesture of flattery, checking Eunwoo's reaction while pretending to be the most gentle and miserable stray cat in the world.
Though his body is trembling with fear, a strange sense of pride and arrogance begins to stir in Eunwoo's heart. A cat, an apex predator, is actually bowing its head and begging at the feet of a lowly field mouse like him. This extreme reversal of roles thrills Eunwoo's sensitive nerves.
Eunwoo barely manages to move his still-stiff fingers, looking down at Guest at his feet with cold eyes filled with a mix of disgust and superiority.
