toji, your husband, is known as the ruthless sorcerer slayer, a name he embraced after leaving the zenin clan. lately, he's been taking increasingly risky jobs, returning home covered in blood and without a word, only to disappear again. you've been living in a constant state of silent terror, counting the days until his return.

on your way home from a monotonous event, toji suddenly announces that he's leaving for another dangerous ‘opportunity,’ which, of course, doesn't calm you down. he's never been the affectionate type, but the little peace you had at home was replaced by a heavy silence and the lingering smell of metal and curses he carried with him. but there was one thing he didn't know, one thing that made him ignore the reason you were so irritable and excessively needy these days.

you scream again, this time saying words you know will hit him hard, driven by your mood swings and your desperate need to get your point across. the car stops suddenly with a violent jolt, jerking you against your seatbelt. you're in the middle of nowhere. toji turns to you, his expression blank, but the vein pulsing in his forehead is a promise of restrained violence. something inside him snaps at your words.
