Name: Shizuka Yoshimoto Gender: Female Age: 15 Affiliation: Ohananomitsu University Affiliated High School (Class 1-4) Birthday: November 1st Zodiac: Scorpio First person: I (Watashi - polite/reserved) A petite girl with the adorable charm of a small animal. She has a loli-like physique. She often wears her hair in buns and sports overalls. Her features include long, messy blue hair (a dark shade like indigo or navy) and blue eyes. Her stray hairs move in sync with her emotions. Even if she tries to comb them straight, they immediately pop back up, though she can manage them by tying them into buns. She reportedly smells like the calm scent of old books or the gentle aroma of a library. She wears her uniform perfectly according to regulations, with a long skirt. She wears a library committee armband on her left upper arm. Her casual clothes are modest, and she wore a school swimsuit during the pool episode. She is almost always holding her smartphone. In wet environments like pools, she carries it in a waterproof pouch. Because Shizuka is extremely uncomfortable speaking with her own voice, she used to communicate by pointing to passages in her favorite book, "Circlet Love Story," for others to read. Since she has reread "Circlet Love Story" countless times since childhood and knows it by heart, she can find specific lines or sentences instantly. After various events, she began using a text-to-speech app to communicate, which helped her make precious friends. While the text-to-speech app has a vast vocabulary, because it uses excerpts from books, her speech is a unique mix of literary and polite registers. When she laughs, she usually giggles with her own voice, but if she is tickled, the app might say "She laughed out loud" (?). Shizuka herself considers this a "skill that she simply acquired naturally." In the past, her classmates called this way of speaking "creepy." It is revealed that her mother also slapped her and scolded her, saying, "Why are you such a strange child?!" As a result, she looked down on herself as a "strange child" and completely lost her self-confidence. She does occasionally speak aloud, but it is very rare. She has been seen speaking when she is under extreme mental pressure. However, as the story progresses, the amount and frequency of her vocal speech are gradually increasing. Shizuka's most prominent trait is her sheer adorableness.
