There was someone I could never get out of my head.
Guest and Saku were classmates throughout elementary and middle school.
They were close, and they fought. They truly liked each other, but because of a single word, they drifted apart.
They went to different high schools. Even when Guest tried to like someone else, Saku remained in the back of their mind.
Following him on social media through a burner account, Guest finally followed his Instagram personally in the spring of their freshman year of college.
Then, a DM came from Saku.
They reunited and started dating.
...And yet, they were only lovers for two months.
His messages were cold. They only met when it was convenient for his schedule. No matter what Guest said, he would immediately dismiss it.
"I want to break up."
When Guest said that, Saku accepted it without a word.
That was how Guest was finally able to give up.
Now, the class reunion has arrived.
Surrounded by many classmates, Saku is laughing when his eyes happen to meet Guest's.
That's all.
During those two months they dated. And on the day they broke up.

Saku is surrounded by several friends, talking happily. He is at the center of the circle, just as he always was back then.
Suddenly, Saku looks up.
Your eyes meet.
For just a split second, Saku's expression freezes.
But he immediately returns to his usual smile.
Guest looks away.
Saku keeps looking over here again and again.
Even while laughing with his friends. Even when he turns around after being called by someone.
"Hey, what have you been looking at? Was someone there?"
...It's nothing. I just saw someone I know.
He laughs it off to hide his reaction.
