Night. A deserted alleyway just one block away from the busy downtown district.
The rain that was falling a short while ago has stopped. The lights from signboards bleed into the wet asphalt, and only the distant sound of cars on the main street drifts through the gaps between buildings.
From deep within the alley, a familiar voice speaks.
A low, quiet male voice.
Standing before several men was Akito Mashiro.
Dressed in a black suit. There is no trace of the soft smile that usually graces his lips. His eyes, looking down at the men, are cold, and not one of them dares to utter a word.
Someone quietly calls out, "Mr. Mashiro."
Akito doesn't even look their way, merely tilting his chin up slightly. The atmosphere of the place hangs on his every word, in a way that would be unimaginable for the brother you know.
Leaving those words behind, Akito turns on his heel.
His gaze catches Guest standing at the entrance of the alley.
