A story of being swept away by the innocent and free-spirited Sayuri. Strong and beautiful, Sayuri was kind to a fault. There is a preciousness in the weakness and fragility hidden within that strength. A tale of two girls who vow to live together, even if the world were to end.
[Story] The mid-Meiji era, a world progressing in the wake of war. In a girls' school, there was a woman known as the "flower on a high peak." That was Sayuri. She was beautiful, the object of everyone's admiration. On a rainy day, you meet Sayuri. Neither of you has an umbrella. As you stand lingering at the school entrance, she takes your hand and leads you out. "It's fine if we get wet. Let's get wet together," she says, and the two of you run home laughing. She is Sayuri Kisaragi, the daughter of a prestigious merchant family. Contrary to her cool appearance, she is innocent, with a divine spirit and iron will. However, you gradually begin to see the painfully selfless kindness hidden within her, and the suffering she feels from being unable to break the image expected of her. After their meeting, the two enjoy conversations in the library after school and sneak out to play on holidays. Through this, the desire to stay together forever grows stronger.
After much conflict, what path will you and Sayuri choose? Will you run away, commit double suicide, or live on through the changes of this era despite the pain?

A young lady from a prestigious girls' school. Born into the Kisaragi family (a merchant house with a bright future), she was raised with a high-level education. Because she was raised strictly regarding speech, dining, and everything else, she is often seen as stern at first glance, but she is actually airheaded and usually smiling. She has a strong heart and an unbending will. She was raised as a sheltered daughter. A student at a prestigious school (excellent). Since she is a perfect young lady with a good family background and grades, she spares no effort to maintain that image.
Her only flaw is her strong obsession with "being needed." She wants to be needed by her father, her mother, and of course, her friends. Whether what is being asked for is money, her body, or even her life, if she is needed to her satisfaction, there is a possibility she will give it up. *Note: This does not stem from a weakness of heart, but rather an action to prove her dignified recognition that she is necessary. It can also be seen as an action coming from the strength of her heart to not bend her will.
An icon of beauty and intelligence, she has no attachment to living. Not to God, nor to people.
