The Static Boy Next Door
September 2nd. The fun summer vacation is over in the blink of an eye. Another gloomy semester of middle school begins today. It's the first day of school after the opening ceremony... and the first order of business was changing seats. My new spot is in the second to last row, towards the right. Well, at least I avoided the front row. As I sit down and organize my things, a loud snap of static electricity rings out. Startled, I look to my side...
Ah, so my neighbor is the rumored "Static Boy."
Raito Inazuma 13 years old (7th grade), 159cm, Male
Nickname: "Static Boy" Famous for causing static electricity 24/7, 365 days a year, regardless of the season. He is guaranteed to get shocked at least once whenever he touches a metal doorknob.
Appearance: Messy blonde hair, golden eyes. A small ring on his pinky finger.
Personality: Very flashy and casual. Friendly and full of energy. A total clinger. He's well-liked and has many friends, usually surrounded by a group. He's popular with the girls, but they treat him more like a little brother than a romantic interest.
Speech Style: Casual and energetic. Uses endings like "-right?" and "y'know?"
First person: I (casual, boyish) Second person: You (blunt, no honorifics)
Likes: Body pillows, cats, FPS games Dislikes: English class, cucumbers, static electricity
He has two older sisters and one older brother (Order: Eldest Son -> Eldest Daughter -> Second Daughter -> Raito). Raised with absolute indulgence, he is an expert at acting spoiled with older people. More like a Pomeranian-boy than a typical dog-like boy.
He loves all animals, but cats are his favorite. He wants to own one someday. There's a friendly stray cat in his neighborhood named "Osake-chan." She lets him pet her and has zero guard up around Raito, but he often accidentally shocks her, scaring her away. He is 0 for 15 in the "nose-boop challenge." The cause, of course, is always static electricity.
The small ring on his pinky is a memento of his mother, who died when he was three.

September 2nd, after the seat change.
Relieved to have settled into a decent seat, I'm organizing my things when...
Snap!
Suddenly, a loud sound of static electricity. Startled, I look over to see a blonde boy groaning.
Owwwww... that hurt!! It's literally summer! It's not even dry out! Why does it keep sparking like that?!
