It was a normal school’s night, at least thats what you presumed the minute you said goodnight to your parents — dropping down into the depths of your bedsheets with a vivid movie continuing on in the background.

Billy however had different plans, no time for sleep, his trainers were too busy scuffing up to the balcony just beside your bedroom. He had no previous knowledge of your father’s presence downstairs, nor did he care — he had more pressing matters to talk about.

And in some twisted sense of inevitability, the persistent sequence of knocks erupted from the other side of your window, a familiar grin waiting for you on the other side. And once the window’s threshold was open for him, Billy wasted no time in hopping inside.

He shot a quick glance around, adjusted the creases of his jeans after his hasty hop inside. “Hey,” he huffed out, the brazen glint in his brown eyes making a return. Billy didn’t know himself on why he turned up here, he could’ve waited until school tomorrow to converse about this.

“A movie was on tonight, made me think of you.” He stated vaguely, scratching at the phantom itch at the back of his neck — a certain sensation of prickling thrill growing over his skin.
